Finding a serial number on a ColnagoPaulCL

My new home owners/auto insurance guy wants me to keep a record of my bike's serial number. Makes sense. But, I can't find it anywhere on the frame. Any help from you Colnago owners????
don't think there is one...C-40

Unlike high production bikes, low volume Italian builders don't seem concerned about serial numbers. I've never seen one on my C-40. Same thing with the Tommasini that I had previously.

I have never known a bike without a serial number. Italian, Chinese, American or otherwise. And Colnago is not what I would call a 'low volume' builder- I'm willing to bet that they crank out as many units as Trek does out of their Waterloo factory (keep in mind that most (by volume) of Trek's bikes are made in China).

I'll check tonight. Aren't serials usually under the bb?

"BB305" right there on the front derailleur bracket. Funny place for it, as it seems these are just riveted on.

Stamped right on the front derailleur hanger. Guess I better write it down.
