Schwinn PARAMOUNT Ti:made by Serotta??TI-tillated
Jul 7, 2001 9:03 AM
I just saw an ad for a used Schwinn Paramount that claimed the titanium frame was made for Schwinn by Serotta. Don't know what year. Anyone know anything about this frame? If you do, maybe you also know what kind of tubing, butted or not, was used, and perhaps the model of Serotta it was most akin to (Legend, etc.)?

Not that I mind the Schwinn name: I would happily ride it if the frame was built with Serotta quality even if it has "SCHWINN" painted all over instead of "SEROTTA." I do mind paying for a Serotta and getting a Schwinn, though....
If I'm not mistaken...Car Magnet

The 1999/2000 year Ti models were made by Serotta. Schwinn does contract out to several builders ie... Serotta and Waterford etc.
Check the serial # and contact Schwinn to double check.
