What's your favorite glove for long rides?bw17

On rides over 80 miles, my hands start to bother me. I try to
move them around on the bar, and that helps some. I wear
Cdale Pittards gloves, both full finger and half.

Looking for suggestions for other gloves to try.
I only wear gloves when it's coldKerry Irons

and they don't make my hands any more comfortable. Gloves are like saddles - personal preference as to brand, model, and whether you use them or not.

let me sum it up for you, as you've evidently angered the cycling gods, maybe a little haiku will help to smooth the ride:

The Pearl Isumi Gel-Lite seem pretty good.

They are nicely made and the padding is just right. I like them the best. Try moving your hand position more and inspect your fit to make sure you're balanced. I often stretch my hands and move them around on long rides. That helps!

Good luck!

Bought some gel lites 3 to 4 weeks ago. After one ride I decided they were not for me. But today I tried them again anyway. I was so uncomfortable I turned around 3-4 miles into ride and gave up. They do seem to work better on the MTB. These things are so personal, I wish someone could tell me which gloves to use before I spend $30-35 on another pair. The PI white-line gloves I just wore out were great, but I think they have been redesigned.

I use cheap retro's fro performance. I like them because of the netting. They are leather and don't take well to washing. That's why at the end of the year or two I toss em and get another apir.

Performance Century gloves are one of the best deals on gloves. Comfort is excellent. The Amara palms perhaps don't wear as well as leather but you don't have to sweat throwing these in the washing machine. At $20 no tears need be shed when its time to toss 'em. Pearl Izumi White Line gloves are also nice and wear well. I have not tried the Gel version ($35 is a bit steep)

Nashbar Pittards are nice, padding similar to PI white line and wear very well and I have washed them several times in 2 years I suspect they will be ready for yard work at the end of the year.

Specialized BG Comp. The padding is in just the right place.
