MACALU FRAME (road) SHOULD I BUY IT?roadcyclist

Been looking at the Litespeed Arenberg. Seems to me that the Macalu Pro titanium frame (from Excelsports catalog) is the same exact frame. Anyone have good/bad experiences with the Macalu or excelsports in general? Thanks in advance for your rants.

I have spent a lot of money with them over the years, although always on components/clothing/etc, never a frame or bike purchase. I have nothing but good things to say about Excel. I have never ridden the Macalu, but it is made by Litespeed for Excel.

No rants, just an endorsement of Excel. They have always been reliable and reasonably priced. Most recently bought a set of wheels from them as I did not have time to build the set up. I have been very impressed with the quality of the wheels after 400 miles on them over the last 2 weeks.

Or is that your post? There is some discussion regarding Macalu. Sounds to me like the dissatisfied poster just got a defective bike to me. I've heard that these are a LS Arenberg frame. If you're interested in budget ti, check out the bike Colorado Cyclist is selling. It strikes me as a very good deal.
