Cure for Chronic Cycle-itis?Car Magnet

OK I admit it. I can't stop looking at bikes. Road, Mtb, Cruiser or anything else with pedals and wheels. I find myself straining to see bikes mounted on cars as I pass or get passed. I stop changing the station when I see a bike on the TV while channel surfing. I ride my daughters 12" bike around the driveway when she's not looking. I plan around the TDF and other major races. I look at every bike no matter how rusted or old. So I ask, Is there a cure or am I doomed?
PS: If you have any of the above problems, then let's go riding!
Try overtraining, makes couches look better than bikes. nmTom C

now my garage is full of old rusty 3-speed S/A huffies from the 1960s and raleigh 5-speeds with north road handlebars and single speed cruisers and 6-speed fat-tire bikes and whatever else i can lay hands on! it's killing me! my wife is right on the edge of insanity!

good thing about building an eclectic collection of rusted steeds is the project time you have awaiting rained-out rides and those days you just can't seem to take the "good road bike" off the hooks in the garage ceiling. there's nothing like taking an ounce of CLR and a copper scouring pad and making a rusted 30 year-old rim with spokes covered in vegetation look six months old in about 45 minutes. try it!

sorry, just realized i'm not helping.
Don't fight it be happy I got the same problem there's no cureflatlander

thats my trick.

i often go on outrageous bike builds and often have a set of wheels, or a frame or sometimes just a set of cranks afetre completing a bike and always i end up with a "cure " for these spare parts that ends up being another journey that i justify by lying to myself that im actually not spending money, which i always end up doing.

and at the end im always surpluss some more parts and the merry go round starts again.

i feel your pain. i see bikes in ads on tv. will constanty change the topic of conversation to great moments in bike design. have jerseys from italian frame manufacturers except for the one i ride. no sense whatsoever.

if my bicycle obsession were words in a book i would put barbara cartland to shame with my prolific output.
