|I'm thinking about buying my first road bike. What do you think this bike is worth?
- 1999 Cannondale CAAD3 w/Slice Echelon fork
- Full Ultegra components
- Mavic Open Pro wheels
- Speedplay X2 pedals, Thomson seatpost, Salsa stem
- Wireless computer
- 1300 total miles
Thanks for the help.

|Unless it fits you, it's worth nothing - to you that is. The bike is nicely spec'ed and you'll have no troubles with the component group. Mileage is nothing - condition is much more important. If it's in good chape, you should be able to get it for under a grand.|

|You can probably buy this bike brand-new @ $1400 at a LBS. Since it is used, two years old and has 1000+ miles I would say a good deal should be around $700-$800.
GVHbikes had brand-newCad3 built-up w/campy daytona or ultegra for around $1250. A grand is too much to pay for the bike.

A new stock '99 CAD3 R1000 with Slice Echelon fork, full Ultegra, CXP23, Kalloy post, Coda quill stem, no pedals went $1800 to $1900. Colors were "Charger Orange" or "Industrial Fade" (black-grey-white fade).
A new '00 CAD4 R1000 with Slice Prodigy fork (key-hole style) mix Ultegra/105, CXP23, Coda threadless stem, Coda post, no pedals went for $1550 to $1650.
If the bike fits and you really like it, don't lose it over a the last $100 haggle.
