Just to be fair to LBS's everwhere.
What is the Bigest "Ah-Hah", you learned from an LBS? You know the type, the "Palm on the forehead", "That makes so much sense I feel stupid" thing. For me it was the first time I had noise from the Bottom bracket (or so I thought). When the LBS started checking things furthest away from the BB, I had to ask why? Of course he told me that most "BB" noises were coming from other loose parts resonating thru the Frame. He wanted to eliminate the easy stuff b4 he attacked the BB. DUH. Valuable lesson learned.

OK How about you?

is that someone has to clean the bathroom. And this chore is usually given to the youngest and newest employee. It was my first job when I landed a bike shop job at age 15. And after that I got to mop the floor and replace light bulbs.

I was lucky ... I guess. No one was brave enough to go into our bathroom, so I got to build up Schwinns with front wheel retainers and get yelled at for adjusting brake shoes "too far from the rims".Soon, 6 months I think, I got my big chance, wheel true?,loose headset? naw, I got to fix a flat.
