|I have a huge problem I can't
seem to solve. Everytime I get out of the saddle to
pedal, there's no way for me to stay off the saddle
for more than 15 seconds, because I have to catch my
breath. The faster I pedal, the quicker I have to sit
back down. I've tried some of the suggested
techniques, and some works just a bit better, but
nothing cures the problem. Do I have really weak legs,
or this is something with my lungs?

|get into habit getting out of saddle anytime grade turns positive on you. Do it on slower (dont push on flats) but hilly ride, recover going downhill.
When you get up you use diff muscles, and they need time to adopt.
