I can save $200 if I get the older model. The componentry seems to be the same. What's the difference??

You should be able to go right to the Cannondale website and see all of the spces for the 2000 vs. 2001 bikes. I'm not sure how much they are asking for the bike, but Cannondale is already starting to come out with a couple of their 2002 bikes. This should mean you can get a pretty good deal on any of their pre 2002 models. I have seen the 2001 R1000 (not the SI model), double or triple for $1350.

Check out the version of CAAD frame. You will want the softer CAAD4 frame that has the curved seat stays. Like the previous post said, check out the cannondale website - www.cannondale.com - for more info.

Have fun!

Thanks for the input. The 2001 R800 was $1500, so I think I'll look for a better deal; maybe wait a month or so for the 2002s to come out. I'll check the site. Thanks again. -Wil
