Looked @ several options, and still can't deside.
trying to fit touring/commute bike ;) rear rack/panniers only

Jandd makes the best stuff around. Costs a little more, but it lasts forever, so it's worth it. I saw this pannier that has a built-in raincover, which is pretty cool. It's about the size of a large briefcase. The racks they make are good too. Check your local shop.

Really well-made, and an excellent attachment system that keeps them solidly on the bike but still a snap to get off quickly.
