What computer seems to mount the best on the Giant bladed carbon fork? Also, what are my wheel magnet options for Kysrium's since Mavic is all out of them for at least 6 weeks?

I have a Flite Deck mounted on my TCR. I had to use longer zip ties however. Other than that no problem.

standard cateye magnet will work if you drill a hole to enlarge the opening for the spoke. Also need to file some material away so it will slide onto the larger spokes. Mine I have set near the transition of the spoke from round to flat. Mavic never sent me a magnet over a year ago. Best to do the above.

people have mentioned Sigma magnets as a good substitute. If you do a search on the Velo News forum it will come up. Have not used the magnets myself.

I got one from my LBS for $4. Press the plastic part over the bladed spoke and then slip the metal retaining slip on. No alterations needed. I have a Vetta computer pick-up zip-tied on my fat bladed carbon fork. Works fine
recently got a sigma, good to know that magnet will work also.johnrg

I'm not familiar with the Giant fork but I have K's and and Avocet 40 computer (multi-pulse). The normal Avocet for 28/36 spoke wheels works fine (the 32 spoke model doesn't align the attachment slots correctly with the spokes on the K. Cutoff the prongs and use the plastic tie attachments.

I use this on my TCR. The Sigmas come with STRONG rubber elastic rings (in white), rather than the usual--and possibly paint-damaging--plastic zip ties. I'm certain that the rubber's easier on the paint, being flexible as they are, as opposed to the hard, unforgiving plastic ties that have to be SO tight on a fork. With time, miles, and bumps, I've had the plastic things chip paint off my past forks, while nothing's gone wrong with the rubber ones so far.

Go wireless if you can; too nice of a bike/fork to clutter up with wires! The Sigma computers (mine, at least) work very well, and have decent buttons. They also--if you're into that--give your bike more of a "euro" look, since many of the pros use them (or have adopted the rubber rings for computer/sensor mounting.
