It's helped me a whole lot--and I'm not naturally mechanical, either. Check it out, buy it, study it. Worthwhile road-bike tome.

It's also more than just about bicycle maintenance. Lot's of good info about setting up your bike, position etc. A must have for a roadie. Written so boneheads like me can understand....

Thanks to all. I thought I had heard this book mentioned, however I was looking for "zen" rather than "Zinn"
Thanks again

The title was "borrowed" from a book called "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" by Robert Pirsig. The title of the bike book is a play on words; the author's name is Lennard Zinn.

If you want the most in-depth manual on bicycle repair, get a Barnett's Manual (Colorado Cyclist sells them for $100). It has every aspect of repair for road and mountain bikes.
