More significant???? Tire pressure or tire weight.........TrekRider

Choice is between running a 230gm, 170psi tire vs. a 200gm, 130psi tire. Which would be more significant...the 1oz. weight drop with a 40psi drop or the 40psi gain with its 1oz gain?

This question is probably more weight dependant, if you're a lighter guy neither tire will have much give and weight would be more significant. At a 130psi you'd have to be fairly heavy to make the surface area flatten out enough on the pavment for the pressure to make more of a difference than weight. TTFN

If it were up to me (and ALL other things being equal) I would choose the lower weight tire (-30g X 2 tires = 60g) That is more than 1/8 lbs of rotating mass.
