A little help here pleaseLazy

I need some help of a technical nature. I've got some pictures from last weekends race that I'm trying to post to the photo gallery. One problem. There's a 100K size limit. The pictures I'm interested in posting are in the 600K range. Is there a way to compress the pictures to fit without losing quality? Anyone out there know the answer to this very serious problem? Thanks in advance for any solutions.

Most Photoshop type programs will allow you to reduce the size of the file but not without some loss in quality. Just no way around it. For instance, Photo Crunch is a shareware program available on zdnet.com that does just what you want. There's tons more. Tucows.com is a good source if you don't want to buy shrink wrapped/branded software.

in what format are these pics? if not .jpg, it's an option. convert and scale 'em down. otherwise, you can always put them on a free webshots account or open a yahoo account and setup a free webpage (limited storage, but around 10+ mg, i think) through geocities using your yahoo login, upload or use ftp to put the pics online and there ya go! store them out there and just reference 'em in the gallery, or here.
Dig it. Thanks guys. NMLazy
