I posted earlier this week about knee pain that I experienced this past weekend, forcing me to drop out of the 300K Boston Brevet series. Since Sat., I took Sun. and Mon. off. I did the local time trials on Tue, and improved my time by 15 sec. I took a short 20 mile ride yesterday, and I'm planning on riding 20 to 30 miles tomorrow. I started the week by icing my knee and using advil. I've since dropped the advil, and am icing once or twice a day, and using an ace bandage while I'm working. It feels much better, and it probably was an issue of overuse. I calculated my mileage to be 805 for the month of May. Now that I'm taking it easy on the mileage, I have lots of spare time. Hopefully, I'll be able to increase my mileage as my knee feels better.

take it slow, i had a similar experience and went back t riding too early - the knee pain resurfaced and I was off my bike for 2 months. Good luck
