Have been told to purchase shoes 1/2 size less than normal size-is this correct info?

I've never heard that. FWIW, I wear 10.5 US shoes and have two pairs of Sidis in Euro 45 that fit perfectly.

I also wear a 10.5 US shoe and the 45 fits perfectly. I do not go by shoe manufacturer sizes, because they are a bit off compared to the "foot measurement" scale you find in most places. Although my foot size is a 10.5, I have to wear an 11 or 11.5 depending on the Nike shoe I am interested in buying.

I think it's the other way! Go at least a 1/2 size bigger! (probably full size Euro-measurements). For example, I typically wear a 45 in most other manufacturer's shoes (Diadora, Time, etc.), but I need a 46 in the Sidi's to get a correct fit. Good luck!
Why can't you try them on? nmIan

I wear a size 12 tennis shoe and work shoe and have a pair of Sidi Energy and a pair of Sidi Action shoes size 47 (both) that fit very well. Hope this helps you Reggie.

I also wear size 12 and recently bought Sidi Genius 3 in 47. In place of the Sidi insole I use a Dr. Scholls Sport for added arch and heel support. This works well for me - still have toe room, sides and heel are snug - just the way I like it. Decided to try the Dr. Scholls before shelling out $25+ for Superfeet or Peterson insoles.

If this is any help, I wear size eleven in Nike running and mtn bike shoes and in Adidas running shoes and a 45.5 Sidi Genius road shoe.

Good Luck

I think you will have to buy 1/2 to 1 size bigger in Sidi compared to alot of other cycling shoes. In times and carnacs i wear a 43.5, but with Sidi i wear a 44.5. I wear 11 dress shoes and 10.5 running shoes.
The Sidi USA guy told me sidi's run small and he was right in my case. I am a d width.
