Hi, I need a little info for a project. I understand that "The" Tour leader wears a yellow jersey, the leader of the Giro wears a pink jersey. Are there any other big races where the leaders wear a colored jersey or the winners get a colored jersey?

Thanks

The tour of spain had a golden jersey last year, but I think they're changing it to a white jersey this year.
FWIW, its called the Amarillo Jersey (nm)zelig

It became gold in "99" probably to distinguish it from the TDF.

Yes, just about every multi-day stage race that there is, plus the UCI World Cup ("series" points leader, not based on overall time).

According to Phil Ligget and Bob Roll on OLN the color of the jersey's is related to the color of the Country's sports page newspaper. France = Yellow and Italy = Pink

In France- L'Equipe which used to be printed on yellow paper.

Italy- Gazzetta dello Sport, still printed on pink paper.
