I haven't been able to ride for days because of the rain so my trainer is getting a good workout. Is there anything I should do maintenace-wise. Is there any sort of lubrication that needs to be done? Also, do you guys have any idea where I should move to get away from this weather? Hypothetically, where would be the best place to go?

|New Jeresy has been fantastic recently. It rained buckets last week but only for a day or two. Even when it does rain it's not cold so you can still ride and stay warm, it's actually refreshing on those hot, sticky days.|

|High yesterday of 57 by the lake. Woke up this morning and it was 45 outside, and inside for that matter. I haven't seen the sun in 14 days.

|Look at my post below.."rain, rain, go away"
I rode the rollers last night for about 40 minutes. All I could stand. I think I would rather ride in the rain. The weather sucks.

|I would have said in years past that this is a great area(2 hours south of you) for riding, but this year is the exception. We got great roads, but they're all wet now. The last decent weekend for riding was May 19-20, when I rode with a fellow rbr member.
Another day to head to the gym.
You say you got the Cyclops, what model and how do you like it. I may need to replace my old one this year. Gotta admire someone who can make herself ride the trainer in June.

|I feel for you Delia, I am over here in Iowa and it's the same weather you have. What I want to know is why does the government want to blow billions on a missle defense shield when it's the weather that we all want something done about? Come on, we're the USA! Get the brains working on it and lets grab mother nature by the throat and show her who's boss! (not meant to be serious, but if you have a good, bad or just plain goofy idea, lets hear it).|

|They need to design some method that forces the jet stream and cold weather back into Canada where it belongs?!?!? An extremely tall wall might work ...or maybe I'll just move south. I have a feeling my prospects as a meteorologist are limited and at with an IQ like this, I might blend better in swampier regions. :)
(my apology to Canadians. no offense, aye.)

|Move to central PA. Best place in the US to ride. (And I'm not saying this just because I'd like to ride behind you in a paceline!-Although I might...I digress. :-)) Anyway, we do get our rain and it does get cold in the winter, but where else can you go out your door, ride 15-75 miles or more, and not go through a major city/town? Best part is, you go one way; you can do rolling hills and flats. Another way; hills, steep, and some long. Because PA used to (and still does, to some degree) have lots of little farms, there are little towns with roads joining them. I rode today for 1 hr. I could have gone any number of ways and still would have been only several miles from home. Cars? I think 3 passed me. Saw and heard birds chirping, groundhogs scattering in the brush, and a white-tailed deer, standing alongside the road. She (fortunately) decided to go back into the woods instead of jumping out in front of me. Yes, I live in cycling Nirvahna (sp?).|

|Not sure about the CycleOps, but I've had a Minoura mag and a Perfomance fluid, and neither required any user maintenance. Hard to believe, I know, but that's what the tech guys told me when I checked with them. I'm guessing your C-O is the same.|| |
