|had a great ride this morning
started to rain and i thought of turning around,
decided to keep riding for the practice of being out on wet pavement and riding smooth when it's colder out
around mile thirty, form getting a little sloppy, i started telliing my brain a few one-word wisdoms, like "quick" "smooth" "relax" "strong" "easy"
made a world of difference, pace stayed consistent, my mind relaxed, my body relaxed. usually only do this on the hills, picturing lance or virenque climbing like monsters, trying to imitate
today it worked well on the flats
what do you think to yourselves to up the quality of your miles?
