|I'm a new roadie and the past 2 rides my feet started to ache like crazy. They hurt on the outside, across from the arch. My shoes aren't tight and they seem to fit like a glove. Should I try to stick some super padded shoe inserts in there? Anyone else experience this?|

|Have you ever heard of Nikken (http://www.nikken.com) they sell magnetic insoles. They are supposed to increase bloodflow and relieve pain. They are also supposed to give you more strength. I can testify to this because I used them in my regular shoes and when I go weight lifting at the gym I can lift about 5-10 pounds more. Maybe just a sycological thing, but hey whatever works.
Back to your feet hurting. I have also used their products to relieve muscel spasm and the pain goes away quickly. Something to think about!

|Magnets in your shoes? Oh yeah! Wouldn't a pyramid under your bed or a copper bracelet work better? Pyschological would be one explanation. There's no scientific data to support these magnet claims, despite decades of people trying to prove miraculous effects.
The standard fixes for sore feet when cycling are stiffer soled shoes, adjust your cleats backward or foreward, get better insoles or orthotics, relax your feet (no toe scrunching), and get your feet in shape (just like the rest of your body) by building the mileage slowly.

|hey fella you forget that the Earths core is made of magnets so don't wright them off just like that. Where would we be with out magnetism?? Putting them in your shoes is a great idea. Infact if we all started attatching magnets to all our muscles then we'd soon be at one with the Earth and flying along like little sparrows - who also attatch magnets to their wings but only in the summer months when they can find them freely available outside local parks where little children leave them lying around for cukoos but really it's the sparrows see that get them when it's dark so you don't see them flying off with the booty. Parrots in China sport crystals but only decorativly because they are waiting for laboratory evidence before commiting themselves to such a bold move as adopting them for increasing their on bike performance.|

|Or was it plain old-fashioned electric shock therapy?
Just kidding, you know! :-)
