hello..ishmael asked a question about the difference between men's and women's jerseys for me and now its gone. could someone please give me advice regarding women's jerseys? im new to this whole thing and i have been borrowing one of his jersey's when we ride together and its too big. i ordered one for myself via internet (size 2, since his 3 was too big) and it is still too big. do they vary depending on the manufacturer? should i not use the internet (even thou its much cheaper)? does anyone know of good sites or catalogs, perhaps? much appreciated,

I am in the process of putting together the order for our club jerseys and I must admit there is a difference. I wasn't convinced until I saw someone try one on. The women's tend to be shorter. They are also wider at the hip. So I guess they would fit differently. Hope this helps.

Bike clothes are the most abnormally sized thing on this planet. The industry standards seem to be very loose. I sucks. I just plopped down $40 for a plain vanilla Hind Jersey, but the only way I was gonna know it fit was to try it on at the LBS. I attempted the online thing 3 times and returned everything! Time and money were lost, and in the end, I had no bike clothes. It may seem like your spending alot more at the LBS, but think of the headache you're saving yourself. Once you know what brands & sizes work for you, then the internet will save you a few bucks.

The only exception to this is Expensive? Yes. But many, many people hear swear by them. I called in my order and gave my numbers to a woman over the phone. She chose a pair of shorts that fit perfectly. Plus they offer free shipping for returns!

Good luck!
