Reynolds 531 vs other steelnjb

I'm shopping around for a road bike. I've always ridden bikes with Reynolds 531 tubing, which now seems to have been superceded. How does for example, Columbus Chro-moly tubing compare in weight, feel, etc?

www.strongframes.com has a .pdf you can download which describes the various Reynolds, Columbus, Dedacciai and True Temper tubesets. Offhand I would say that Columbus Thron is about equivalent to 531.

My old Trek 531 frame is a total POS compared with my newer 853 frame. My 531 frame is very soft in the BB and also slightly harsh compared with the 853.
