|Just two long rides over the weekend.
P.S. I'm about half-way through my second Harp Lager and might pop one more before the evening's over. The guy I'm riding with tomorrow just got back on the bike fairly recently, so I won't have to be at full ability.

|There is a line in a Stan Rodgers song, the Idiot, where the protagonist is a transplanted maritimer, working in the "patch", because there is no work back in the Maritimes, where he says "and i don't like cowboy clothes"
Well, thats me, except i am not from the Maritimes, and i'm going to school, but i don't like cowboy clothes either.
Besides, cowboys generally don't like cycists on "their" roads, and throw beer bottles at you, but they are always too wussy to stop and get into it with me.
Oh well, the road riding ain't so bad.

|Hey Largo, |
I just finished a Pil. Finally got pissed at the wind..and the rain...and the snow...and the hail. Trashed my program and took four days off. Tonight I got the guilts, so went down and ran the old ticker up to 90% on my rollers in front of the tv...while a 50 kph gale blows outside. BTW, did you enjoy the wind tunnel test Victoria Day weekend? I rode with a group to Lake Louise and back. Talk about Belgian points! One guy riding the Golden Triangle got blown over a guard rail going up toward Field. Another guy going down the other side reportedly got knocked down three times by the wind, and the third time broke his hip. Doesn't this just make ya proud to be a Canadian? Who needs hills when we've got perma-cyclones?...Whew! Glad to get that off my chest.
P.S. Cancelled out on a TT Wednesday night due to +6, rain, and wind.

|Jon, did you get to "enjoy" the pigeon lake race?
Bar none, i've never been in winds that strong (as of then) on my road bike. YIKES!
Sounds like carnage on the GT, glad i raced Devon that weekend.
