20 on Saturday solo, 40 on Sunday with a few friends, and a spectacular 45 mile loop on Sunday that took in a 4000 foot climb in the Santa Ynez area north of Santa Barbara. We climbed up Figuroa mtn. which was covered in fog until 2500 feet when we got above it and then looked out on a layer of cloud carpeting.

I did a century ride for 103 miles, Sunday off (aching tailbones) and then rode the trainer in the basement 14 miles Monday night. Worked off some great grilled burgers. Total 117 miles.

... New lifestyle: weekends are with the wife, and I get my road riding done during the week. Did 23 miles today.

This weekend I was up at the cabin, yanking the road tires off the MTB, reinstalling the knobbies, and trying it out. If I get time, I'll probably be able to sneak in a strenous 12-mile loop every other weekend, between chores.

101 miles. I rode 57 Saturday with 2800 ft. of climbing, being relatively new to road riding this was one of my more strenuous rides to date. Sunday I rode 14, this was just to get to the Boulder Creek Festival and back. I didn't want to deal with parking. 30 miles on Monday. A good hard ride with a nice steep hill for good measure.

I got no miles in this week end unless you count saturdays commute. Rain off and on all day sunday and monday with constant thunder. Finally decided to go out monday despite the thunder and was just headed for the door when the hail started. Needless to say I truely hate new york, is florida still dry? could be a nice place to move. TTFN

46 on Friday (4-day weekend at my company), nice flattish ride with some quick sections when the Cat I we were riding with decided to pull. 25 on Saturday between thunderstorms. 67 on Sunday, with 40-some of that being one long uphill grovel from South Boulder to South St. Vrain Canyon, south on Peak to Peak to Ward, then down Left Hand to Lee Hill (steeeep - arrgh!), and back home. Felt like a wrung-out rag at the end, since I climb about as well as any flatland sprinter does. Sat on my butt all day Monday - our weather's been spotty here, too.

Neither the desire, nor the capital to do the Iron Horse, thank you very much.

As a Boulder resident I can sympathize with you on Lee Hill. I'm impressed you did that near the end of your ride!

Truth. The alternative is to drag your sorry butt home on the crappiest section of 36, uphill into a headwind the whole way, with all the schizos trying to get back to Boulder late on a holiday weekend Sunday. At that point winching the fat can up Lee Hill seems like a holiday. I have a 38/26 and I'm not afraid to use it.

The scenery on South St. Vrain is well worth the pain and suffering getting there. There's a great little restaurant at the top of Peak to Peak before you hit the turnoff to Ward (Mountain Inn, I think) and they serve the best pie I've had in a long time.

I climb about as effectively as that Alexia sprinter (Quaranta?) Liggett and Sherwin have been making fun of in the Giro. Just wish I was as fast a finisher.

i expected the giro coverage would add to my enthusiasm but is only adding excercise to my finger when having to switch channels to avoid the ads.

It was a great weekend of riding, as I did 50 on Saturday, 50 on Sunday and 100 on Monday. Yes, the numbers really did come out even like that. Spooky. The weather was pretty bad on Saturday, but otherwise it was fine.

34 on Saturday, Sunday was a rest day (too many crazies driving out there) Mon 25. So a grand total of 59 hilly miles, give or take a few, I don't count miles, I ride by time. I try to ride a couple of hours a day with one rest day. I'm retired, when you guys are working, I'm riding and enjoying the brisk cool morning air and try to remember what it was like to work for a living. Growing old does have it's advantages.......
