|From Lance's site, originally from BikeTexas.org.
5/24 - Remember when we asked everyone to help out in opposing SB238, the Texas bill that looked to outlaw cyclists from country roads? Dig this: "On Friday May 11, 2001 SB238 by Senator Jeff Wentworth (R-San Antonio) was left pending in committee on the last day for bills to be reported out. That means that this bill is finished for this session." - BikeTexas.org - very good!

|That's great! I am about to move to Texas. I was just informed of the pending bill. Was worried, but my cycling might be safe until the next season at least.|

|Yeppers, that's true! Not only that, but a PRO-bike bill has passed the Texas Senate...the Matthew Brown Act (HB2204 version). It's next stop is the Texas House of Representatives. You can read more about it at http://www.biketexas.org/lege_map.html|| |
