took my Poprad out to van meter park today and concentrated on gripping the bars very lightly. also had much better luck with the shifters. the bike steadied right out, even though i was riding in some wicked head and cross winds. used the tops, hoods, and drops with no problems. even did a little stand-up climbing. lance has nothing to worry about, but i think i'm finally getting it.

I find that gripping the bar tightly makes my bike squirrely. A light yet sure grip is better for me, but I don't have your background. Glad to hear that you're getting the hang of the bicycle thing.
