Anybody have any feedback, comments on the 2001 Airborne Valkyrie road bike. I am looking at a 105 grouped 54cm. Weight? Anybody have an actual weight? The page says 18.5. Thanks

I received my new Valkyrie on May 3rd, less than 72 hours after I e-mailed my order. (I paid extra for their express build) I couldn't be more pleased with my new bike. Mine is 60cm/ultegra with a few tweaks. To borrow some words I have learned here, "This Bike Rocks".

It looks great. (The welds look very good to me.) It rides great. It is light but very comfortable. It accelerates like a "scalded dog", and gives me new confidence in cornering and descents. Did I mention that I really like this bike?

I don't think you could go wrong with Airborne. They were very helpful in fitting the bike, calling me the morning after I placed my order to confirm everything and suggest a few slight changes, based on measurements I took while they were on the line.
They did a free upgrade on the bottom bracket I spec'd because they were out of what I wanted.

The only shortcoming in the whole deal was that I didn't receive the booklet on the flight deck computer I had installed. I e-mailed them a request for that information, along with a couple of questions. I had answers the next business day, and had my booklet (Priority Mail) within 3 days. I am very impressed with the bike and the company.

If you have any specific questions, you can post them here.

Good luck,
Davee

I went on an ordered one. I went through my LBS, as he now carries the Airborne line (Just started). He actually gave me a better price than direct order. Go figure there? Should have it by weeks end. Thanks for your feedback, that helps my confidence on ordering a bike I've never seen up close or ridden or sized. TDA
