I got the 12/27 ultegra casset today and I notice that is diferent from the 12/25
a) the finish is diferent
b) is like shinny finish, maybe like a cheap finish?
the 12/25 is like a dull stainless stell finish, no?
the 12/27 is like a chrome, no?

|They should be the same - I have a 12-23 and a 12-27 - other than the size, both look the same. In any event - the only cogs which would be different on the 12-25 and the 12-27 would be the last two (which are on a carrier) - the 12-25 should have a 23 and a 25, and the 12-27 should have a 24 and a 27. All of the cogs should be chromed, with the lower 5 or so cogs having a goldish tinge to them.|

|Sure your 12-25 isn't Dura Ace? Several of the DA upper cogs are titanium and have a dull as opposed to shiney appearance.
Could also be that your 12-25 is just worn a bit and is no longer shiney. All the Ultegra cassettes I have are shiney out of the box. Its not like Shimano has a special production process just for the 12-27 cassette.
