Anyone have the general weights of the Klein Quantum Race and Quantum Pro? I'm trying to validate their claim that the frame and fork are lighter than the Trek 5700/5900 frames and forks... The numbers I have on the Trek frame is 2.77lbs. and .77 lbs. Probably for a 56cm. What's the comparison for the Klein? Any comments?

I can tell you that the Quantum Race is heavier than the 5700/5900. The Race uses an Icon Air Rail fork which comes in around 450 grams. The 5700/5900 fork comes in around 350 grams. The 5700/5900 frame is listed at 2.27 pounds and I really don't see any way that the Race is below that.

The Quantum Pro does have an upgraded fork which is similar in weight to the 5700/5900. The Pro does have a different headtube than the Race, but other than that I believe they are the same. The Pro may be as light as the 5700/5900, but they will be so close you would have a hard time telling a difference.

Now if you want to talk about the way they each ride...

Well, lets not get into that.
