Bummer. Just complaining. Sunday, my wife REALLY wants breakfast in bed for mother's day, OK, so no normal 50-60 miler Sunday AM. Monday lunch...client 'pops' in, asks me to lunch. There goes the lunch intervals. This AM, wife has 7am meeting...no Wednesday 5:30AM 35 miler. No lunch today either...meeting. No Thursday or Friday early AM ride because of new, unexpected meetings. Maybe Friday at lunch. As strange as it may sound, my only hope is for Saturday since, yes, gulp, the mother-in-law is in town and will watch the kids. I'll be lucky to total 50 miles for the week.
Like I said, just moaning and groaning. I am a much nicer person to be around if I've gotten in my 100 miles/week.

After a few days off the bike, I get real cranky. I think this is a sign of addiction, isn't it?
Hang in there, enjoy the riding when you can!

Work, Work, Work - This week the only riding I'm getting is vicariously through this message board. Sad, isn't it?

Last Friday, I took off the day from work with the intention of doing a long ride. Got sick as a dog early Friday morning, so no ride. Saturday was my daughter's birthday party with lots of work to be done. If I had even tried to ride, I would have been dead or divorced. Planned a long ride Sunday. Wake up Sunday morning and both kids are sick. Once again, leaving the house on my bike will not do much for the future of my marriage, so I stay home. Still feeling the effects of the creeping crud from Friday, I ride an easy 25 miles Monday morning and, as described elsewhwere, almost get doored three times. I finally get in a decent ride Tuesday morning before work and plan another Wednesday morning. Early this morning, the baby wakes up with conjunctivitus (eye infection), so we're off to the pediatrician. The good news (for riding purposes) is that the wife and both kids are leaving the house Friday morning and won't be back until Sunday evening. Let's see, how many miles can I do in 62 hours?

I'm nearing the end of the second week of a new job. Gone forever are the 20 mile nooners I had become accustom too. Mileage dropped from 120 - 150 / week (April) to 60 last week (all on the weekend)and zero so far this week. My legs hurt from not riding. I'm sure once I settle in to the new routine, I'll be able to get my milegae back up, either early am or late pm, but right now I'm suffering cold turkey.

I'm having a whole entire month very similar to your week, I'm gonna become upset any minute now.

My name is Lazy, and I'm a bike-a-holic......
