Tools needed to adjust 00' Dura-Ace BB?(2 posts)

Tools needed to adjust 00' Dura-Ace BB?Ryan

My DA BB is clunking, and needs to be adjusted. From what I can tell, I'll need the lockring wrench (BBT-7), and a set of pin spanners. Which of the several spanners offered by Park is the correct tool, and is there another item(s) I'll need to do the job?

Thanks in advance.

P.S.: If I just wanted to toss the DA and replace it with Ultegra, what tools do I HAVE to purchase to get the DA out of the bike?

You're right, you'll need the BBT-7 and a shimano/park shimano cartridge BB tool. If you get it out and need to replace it, the regular cartridge bottom brackets are easier. They do make a Dura Ace track bottom bracket that zips in like the Ultegra. That's what I did to keep everything Dura Ace.

Good luck
