for my area.
Start at the County Recorder's officeCory

In many communities, the county recorder keeps track of that. Look in the phone book under the name of your county. If you don't see a Recorder listed, just call the main information number and ask who has the information you need.

Where do you live. Calling the county Register of Deeds, Recorder, or whatever they call the office that records dees in your area is a good start but may not give you what you need. You may live in an area where everything is surveyed and the information is readily available. You may live in an area where surveys are uncommon and determining lot lines can only be done by hiring a surveyor. Your county, city, village, town, parrish, etc. may have a municipal surveyor who can give you some information. There is no cut and dried answer to your question.
if you go to....jayz

your town hall, the accessors office will have tax maps of the entire town/city....these maps have "approximate" property lines of all the maps...
they are in no way, shape, or form completely accurate...

if you are looking for a specific parcel of land...then you will have to reasearch to see if there is a subdivision plan that will have the actual bearings and distances of the lot....or better yet, go to the registry of deeds and get the deed for that lot.

hope that helps
