...the ones with the OCLV sole? They look good, seem very stiff, anyone tried them?

I have the blue poggios... Very stiff, LIGHT (260 gr for 43 size), has a wider last, it fit just as well as Carnacs to my slightly wide foot. I was all set to buy a pair of Comets when the new Nikes arrived at my LBS. One flex test of the sole changed my mind... The covered mesh allows the foot to breathe but retains some body heat in cooler weather and keeps the wind out. The straps are good and hold well, but I have some separation at the end of the velcro (where it rubs against the strap loop). I have some scuffing on the leather on the forefoot (from using it to push off and it has worn away some of the top coat of the carbon sole) Bad habit I guess... I like them, they work great with speedplays, I had to use the extra shim provided to make the cleat sit flat and it makes a great lightweight pedal/shoe combo. I highly recommend them.

If your talking about the Nike Poggio I have a Blue pair sitting here in my office awaiting my Look 396 pedals to arrive. They are very stiff and very light! The LBS made a joke about checking the box to make sure they were in there because they are so light. Trying them on in the store they seemed to really form to my foot then my previous Shimano pair. I am currently using the Icon Dela Sole pedals which came stock on my Trek 5200. I am hoping the Nike and Look combination will alleviate hot spots and foot going to sleep after 30 or so miles. I will post more once I get them and ride with them. Preliminary review is they look and feel great!

Where have you seen them? I have an older pair of Guabache(sp?) duo's, and I absolutely love them. If the new ones are stiffer and lighter, I just may need a new pair!
