|It sounds like a ball park figure, taking into consideration what kind of condition it is in, and if it fits you. Who is selling it, a LBS or private party? You always take a chance with a used bike,(as you know), due to no warranty). Make sure you have someone go over the bike for you before you decide to buy it. What it raced? If so, racing puts a lot of stress on a frame. A few things for you to consider.

|A used CAAD3 bike with old 8 speed isn't worth near that much. I sold one with 9 speed Chorus three years ago for $1200.
The frame and fork is only worth about $425 new, and a new Duraace 9 speed bike kit is only about $1300. That's $1725 brand new.
$800 sound like a fair price.
