Oh dear - snapped campag carbon seatpost.Ping Pong

I snapped my campag carbon post last night. I am still grieving. I knew the damage was done last year when I heard a slight crunch when I tightened the seat clamp, but I went into denial. Time for a serious downgrade (girlfriend spotted the sacreligious damage as I tried to sneak it in with thoughts of a discreet swap)!

I don't know if I would ride a cracked post. One of my friends just told me about an Ausie triathlete who had a seat post brake off on a training ride. The remains cut into his aurtory and he almost died after losing half his bodies blood.

I don't know where the article was or what type of seat post he was using.
cracked post- don't ride it!peloton

I have personally broken a post. I have the scar on the inside of my leg to prove it. DON'T RIDE A POST THAT IS CRACKED! Please take my word for it.

BTW- my broken post occured a few years ago when jumping a staircase on my MTB. Not nice at all.
