Who makes a good travel case. I have to fly out of town and I can't be without my bike for two weeks. I am just a poor boy, so I need a good deal on one. If anybody has one they want to sell, let me know.
My bike is 55cm. I heard that airlines charge you to fly a bike, if so, is that all of them or is their a bike freindly airline out there.
What is the normal charge the travel with your bike? Hell, I should just drive.

Check Colorado Cyclist, they have a nice looking basic plastic case that goes for about a hundred bucks, versus 3 or more for the fancier jobs with handles rollers etc. Unless you travel a lot I would go for the cheap one. Also check with your local shops, I know of a shop that rents them.

US airlines charge $50-75 for a bike (golf bags as big as your house are free). Join the League of American Bicyclists (www.bikeleague.org) and you can book travel through their travel agent and not pay the bike fee.

Tip the porter at the curb a 10. Your bags will be checked in and no fees!! Everybody wins!
