1 hour and 6 minutes. The route I ride has 2 big climbs one is 2 miles long and the other is about 1.3 miles long. Other than that it is mostly flat or rolling hills nothing too long. Wind was nothing out of the norm this day. Is this a decent time or am I kidding myself when I think I am ready for a CAT 5 race. Please let me know. I will do the race either way, I just don't want to get my hopes up of winning or being competitive when I should just shoot to finish and have fun. Thanks in advance.

Ride on,
JimC

Without knowing the percentages of the climbs I'd say it's a good time. Even if they're pretty shallow climbs, that's still great! You're climbing for over 3 miles out of 20... As far as the race goes, definitely go for it. You're never going to be able to guarantee yourself a win...just go out to have a good time and do your best, and if your best includes a win, then that just sweetens the pot! Good luck!

Sounds pretty good with a 2 mile climb, I guess it depends on what grade it's at but still, sounds good - best bet to see how you size up though is to find a buddy that races at the level you're aiming for and then ride with him.
