I have access to a digital camera, and of course I have this computer. Could someone please explain to this dummy how to post a picture in a thread?

Thank you very much,

Alex

First of all you need your pictures hosted on the web somewhere. ie. you can't post a picture here directly from your hard drive. There are various web picture hosting pages if you don't have your own webpage. Some are free ... some have nominal fees. Search for Picture hosting websites or something like that ... you'll get a whole slew of them. I use Photopoint, but they just decided to start charging for the service so I will probably stop using them.

Then you just need to right click on the picture once you are viewing it from your web browser (ie on the hosts webpage). Select copy image location. Paste the website info into the "Post an Image- URL" field below the text enter box and voila ... your done.

Alternatively, you can use html tags and post pictures directly into your text by using the tag ...

img src="http://www.your_picture_site.com"

but surround it with <> (this one "<" to start and this one ">" to end) I left them out so you could see the actual tag. Obviously, you need to put your picture web address in the quotes inside the tag.

I think that basicly covers the easiest ways to get pics posted here ...
So how do you do the "hot" web links? nmHap
