Mine has a red plastic and black mesh housing/cover guarding the belt and drum. On my unit, the noise seems to be coming from the belt (or something) hitting the housing. I can get it to stop if I gently give the housing a tug up and away from the belt BEFORE I hop on the bike. Don't do this while the unit is moving! Works ok. |
