any theories on how asthma effects VO2, etc ??

i have definately gotten better now that i started riding more seriously...but still dont leave home without my inhaler...or without taking my pills...

funny they said i would probably outgrow it byt the time i was 20....hmmm..when i was 20, i was in the hosipital with an attack so bad it collapsed my left lung...
26, now..and way better..but still something i am always aware of.

just curious how my oxygen intake "ceiling" is, compared to non-asthma people...

I've got pretty bad asthma (they said I'd outgrow it too!) and my VO2 max was measured to be 74, so if asthma does make it go down that'd be pretty cool...

"growing out" of asthma is a myth- any doc that would tell you that is simply uninformed on the latest on pathophysiology and treatment
