|Which Bianchi bike?||Zaphod|

I'm a newbie to road biking altough I've been doing some serious mountain biking for a couple of years now. So, I'd like to buy my first road bike ever and my LBS has two Bianchi models for almost the same price. One of them has an "M Alloy Pro" frame with carbon fork and has Shimano Tiagra components, the other one has "Gold Race Team" frame with alloy fork and some 105 components.
I don't know much about these two frames but hell I do know that the most important thing in a bike is the frame. Anyone has informations about these frames or can suggest which is better or worth the price more? I definately want the better frame which can be upgraded later if I'd like to do so.

|Can you tell us the model name of each bike? I suspect that the one with the 105 group is probably the better frame. I had a 99 model Bianchi Giro for a while, with mega pro aluminum and carbon fork, with 105 group, sweet bike for the money. Absolutely no complaints. I now ride a Bianchi EV2 with campy record.|

|The one with "M Alloy Pro" frame is called BCB1. It is listed on Bianchi's webpage, under here:
But I can't find the other one, I assume it's an older model. Here is a picture of the "BCB1":

|First of all, if you're in the United States, those were never Bianchi models. I've never seen a Bianchi with an alloy fork- typically steel forks on lower end/carbon on higher end. The "M Alloy Pro" frame is probably all celeste, and hasn't been called that since 1999. I've never heard of the 'Gold Race Team', which is why I'm guessing you're in the UK or somewhere else that has completely different models from the US?|| |
