...this weekend? This is my first time. 5,000 feet of climb for the 100 mile route. Is this a hard ride? Has anyone done it before?

The climbs are short rolling hillls, but the wind can be demoralizing.
Should be a nice day for the ride and the dinner at the end is always

I did Solvang in March, and there were some stretches in the first half where the winds were pretty strong. I hope they lay out Wildflower like Solvang so that we have a tailwind going home...

Yes, the wind is at your back, but not until about mile 90. My first year, I came up on a vulture having a snack in my lane and it would not move out of the way. I went way around it.

Did Solvang, so we thought we'd do something different. SLO is on Sat. and Chico is on Sun. Have a great ride!

Yeah, I met some people on an AIDS training ride that were doing Chico. Beautiful Jersey - I hear it's a nice ride too. Good luck and have fun!

Another Chico rider here too. Grz, I have a feeling I met you at the Marin Centry last summer, at the Valley Ford rest stop specifically. I talked briefly there with someone, short with dark hair and wearing a Terrible Two jersey, that sounds a lot like you. Did you do that ride?
