My new bike has flight deck ready Ultegra levers with the two buttons on the right side. I'm puting miles on and I haven't made up my mind about a computer. I want something with cadence and possibly wireless. I have read the reviews and I'm still not sure. I'm thinking flight deck with cadence that will work with multiple bikes but what about wireless. Your thoughts or recommendations about any system are appreciated.

If you want to stay wireless, then stick with the Flight Deck. It's tough to find cadence and wireless. I like my Vetta RT-77, but the wires are kind of ugly.

I like the virtual cadence and the integrated buttons of the FD. However, the wires can break going into the base unit - I'd advise getting the wireless FD, but you can still have a problem with a shifter wire which will screw up the cadence when the CPU no longer knows what gear you are in. >:-( Look to see if Shimano addresses this problem with the new units.

Polar is also coming out with the S710 which promisses to do damn near everything for you, but in the world of the bike computer less can be more.

I like my flight deck just fine. I have the wired one and have no complaints.
