HELP: is your LBS a DeRosa dealer?SBO
Apr 22, 2001 3:59 PM
Looking for a small (50-52cm) late-model steel DeRosa... my LBS and the distributor are not much help. Is your LBS a DeRosa dealer with anything in this size range in stock? I am not interested in a complete bike as the new ones are being sold, only a frameset. Thanks for any leads.

Sorry...I guess you've never been to small-town Misissippi, have you? My LBS is fortunate to carry anything other than Huffy. The next "local" bike shop is more than 45 minutes away. Thanks for the laugh! :o) Seriously, best of luck finding one...try looking up bike shops in the Boulder, CO, area.

If you do a little internet searching you may find a pretty decent deal since gita stopped carrying them and the new distributer isn't going through some of the previous shops gita delt with. My lbs probably won't be dealing with them after the previous experiances I had with my bike. Good luck finding one, they are a sweet bike. TTFN

If I am not mistaken, Gita has the US distributorship rights for DeRosa. You can contact www.gitabike.com or go to Chicagoland Bicycles at www.cbike.com, they deal with almost every major Italian brand. Good Luck!!

Sorry, but it looks like Gita dropped DeRosa and picked up the Pegoretti line.

So it might be worth giving them a call, But, let me warn you that as soon as they arrive in the shop, they are sold. One of these days, I plan to own one myself, DeRosa as always been my favorite.

Call them up and ask for Joe or Ben, tell them that Morgan LeBlanc recommended you call them. They are one of the sponsors for our race team.

Sinclair is the importer now. They are only bringing in complete bikes with campy. Try Bicycle John's in Burbank, Ca, 818-848-8330. John sold me a frame only. It is soooooo sweet! 2001 Planet. Sinclair seems to have imported a limited number of De Rosa's this year so good luck.
