|So there I was, over at the lake again trying for a PR 20-mile TT, possibly a little low on blood sugar, but I'm quite sure this was not a hallucination.
This strange rig was a roadbike towing a Burley trailer. Hanging out of the back of the Burley was a very small bicycle with training wheels, the front wheel of the little bike stuffed in a pouch on the Burley, but the rear wheel and training wheels on the ground and rolling.
I pulled along side and told the guy, "Sir, you bicycle has entirely too many wheels.
Daddies don't get enough credit.

|Once upon a time, I used to do hill intervals, first with one boy in a bike seat, then two boys in a trailer. Another dad in the neighborhood didn't stop there. He eventually had his oldest son as the stoker on the tandem, an infant in the bike seat, and two toddlers in the trailer. We had races that must have looked like Roman chariot races. Whoever uses kids as an excuse for not riding just doesn't know how to fit them in.|

|A couple of years ago at the Midwest tandem Bicycle Rally I saw a rig that consisted of a tandem, a Burley d'Lite, and a Burley Solo all hitched together. I think that the all time record at the Midwest Tandem Rally was a family of nine - 4 tandems and one kid in a Burley trailer.|| |
