How to tell age of frameFlash

Is there any place on the frame that a manufacture year will be stamped? I checked the bottom bracket shell but see nothing that looks like a date.

Thanks.

If there is a date encrypted in the serial # (which there often is), it is never easy to crack the code. Any of the two consecutive numbers is likely to be a date, your best bet is usually to ask the manufacturer and have them track it down by serial #.
May be coded into the serial number.Humma Hah

If the bike is a Schwinn, there's a list of serial number prefixes and how they relate to year of production at keithsbikes.com.
