Lance looks to be in good form... or is he?? He lost 45 seconds in a recent TT. Ullrich has said he has sworn off the cookies this year and looks good in yellow. How true is this?? How about all the other contenders... Santos Gonzalez, Heras, Raimondas Rumsas, Di Luca, Joseba Beloki, & Igor Gonzalez??

Who will win the 2001 Tour and why??

Because it's the only race he trains to win and cares to win. USPS doesn't pay him $2 million to come in 2nd. Plus, he's the 2-time defending champion.

Last year he proved to be the best time trailist and one of the top 5 climbers who always was in the pack.

Barring injury or bronchitus, he will win it again.

Jan Ullrich will come down with some rare disease and be forced to abandon after stage one. Livingston will assume the helm at Telekom and win it over LA in a sprint at the line in Paris breaking the :08 record for narrowest margin of victory.

Or not

Lance is the Boss. He broke their wills before, he will again. His mind controls the others. He is the Jedi Master of the TDF.

Physically, no other rider can beat him in the TDF. More importantly, mentally they KNOW that they can't.

Hey, anyone that confident, focused, and obviously talented would be real hard to beat. Jan might have more ability, but it seems that he lacks the discipline and focus to beat LA. Can't see anyone else winning.(except for those 2.)
