Depends on whether you like the sora or the RSX shifter setup. Most think the sora suck.......RSX was available in 7 or 8 speed. The 7 speed front shifter would shift either a double or a triple. The 8 speed versions were either double or triple specific with different part #s ,so be sure to order the correct one.

I used to have RSX with 105 on my old R600 Cdale (retro fit), and I tried Sora on a new bike (I liked the frame). I found the RSX to be way better - good positive and reliable, and good value for the money. The Sora may be fine (I'm one of those riders that likes what I am used to - till I switched from Shim to Campy) - but I would say that you can't go wrong with the RSX.

Hope that helps!

I bought a used bike with it three or four years ago just to beat around on. It's thrived on no maintenance and almost daily use.
