I just got a used tubular wheelset, and they are the first tubulars that I have had. Both wheels came with tubulars already glued on, and I was wondering if I should take them off and reglue them before using the wheels. Also, how often do you need to reglue the tires during the season, before every race? Thanks

generally, the glue may outlast the casings...

A quick test would be to try to manually remove an inflated tire from the rim... if it lifts or rolls away (especially easily and at the edges) then it would need to be reglued.

Here are a couple of glueup techniques and tips:

Most methods are like the above... and many tubular users perform installations in ritualistic fashion... the important part is being consistent and methodical in your technique.

I can't imagine regluing before every race or event...
