|I have a race tommorrow and was wondering if you guys knew of a homemade drink, bar that would give me an edge to the competiton. We are just minutes, sometimes seconds, away and want to win. I do not have time to go get something unless it is at the grocery store.

dont bother with any of that other crap...if you're desperate just dissolve sugar into some water and get a little buzz!
and dont eat too much you'll be digesting while you ride which is unneccessary...and take some vitamins before you go too!
you'd be surprised how little the body needs to perform and to perform well!

|crush 2 vitamins and dissolve in a small amount of water, add to 2 tablespoons of pepto bismol and 12 oz milk of magnesia. drink the evening BEFORE and again the in the morning|

|2x the caffeine really works, provided you don't usually have alot of caffeine in your diet already.
I try not to consume anything sweet the week before a race, and no caffeine (sweets and soda) anytime, then choke down a tangerine Power Gel before the race, some Seltzer before (probably not the best thing)and Gatorade during the advent (always add a pinch of salt).

|I tried using gatorade since I had it. I ended up getting 4th which was awesome and I was only 4 seconds behind the 3rd place guy. There wasn't a sprint finish, maybe next time.|| |
